Subdemon So Far

Honestly it’s something Pillz and I have been constructing/LARPing following the much older/humanized versions of our “Hellsong” set of characters

Basically it follows one Andru Forsith, a tech-student with various psychological problems that prettymuch manages to get by just fine. He’s a decent hacker, never makes too much of it, but he’s a pretty good engineer/problemsolver and would be a great tactician given half the chance.

Until he takes the wrong subway route.

Driving through an abandoned station, Andru sees all the people on the train become ghastly mutilated corpses in a mere blink. The cold empty of the train airconditioning becomes far too sharp a feeling as they plunge deeper and deeper into the tunnel systems and emerge over a scene that is never fully described.

He comes to screaming and standing bolt upright, with the now normal subway passengers staring at him. The train stops and he smashes face first into the door.

Nursing his newly bloodied nose back to health, Andru sits down for some icecream time with the evening news, only to see a report of the death of one of the people in the same subway car as he had been; mutilated in the fashion he had seen in what he had already written off as a hallucination due to a change in medications.

Over the next few weeks, all the people in the subway die in nastyterrible ways.

The nightmares begin. He can’t go on the subways without seeing some new beastly apparition, or a quiet, well-dressed man that smells of buorbon by the name of Kyle Powell. Who is also creeping him out for the record.

Eventually he gets some lovecraft shit up in his skull and attempts ritual suicide to banish the visions and deaths once and for all, but wakes up in a hospital only to be bothered endlessly by Kyle, who basically gets him out of personality rehab/institution thing by pulling some strings by turning some tricks. The lovecraftish voices do not stop, but at least he has support.

Eventually a whole group of people who can see the nastyterrible things is revealed, the only people standing between a gigantic metropolis and the ground below it that was better left undisturbed. this group includes Diego/Digo, a drugdealer and self-styled subway guardian specializing in some damn near impossible botany, Kyle Powell himself, K. Aycel aka Jersey Destroyer who fancies herself a superhero and who breaks a lot of things to break monsters, Marco Korret whose old-money family has been keeping an eye on the underground for generations and Chester Demming who is a monster-huntr with an entirely too-cheerful demeanor.

There are a lot of other people too.

Also this story will not have a happy ending just a warning.
